This team supports the infrastructure that powers the AI revolution—working across data centers, hardware systems, and customer workloads to maintain the integrity of our cloud platform. The CX organization aligns closely with the internal and customer engineering teams, offering valuable insights from the field and having the chance to contribute to the CoreWeave product roadmap and development.<span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">About the role</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">CoreWeave runs some of the largest GPU clusters in the world, and the network has a lot to do with how well they perform. As a Senior Specialist Field Engineer for Networking, you'll help customers get the most from the GPU fabric, the front-end network, and the links between data centers. You'll work closely with the Networking product and engineering teams, and what you learn in the field will help shape what they build.</span></p> <p><strong><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">In this role, you will:</span></strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Design network architecture for complex customers (multi-cloud, multi-region, hybrid Kubernetes, bare metal, Direct Connect), including how it fails and what each failure affects.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Troubleshoot problems that span many nodes and VPCs, from the Linux kernel and the CNI up through the data-center fabric and HPC interconnects (InfiniBand, RoCE).</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Find where the product falls short for real workloads and work the gap through with engineering, as an extended member of the Networking team.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Lead customer technical overviews, proofs of concept, and customer workshops, with occasional travel.</span></li> </ul> <h1><strong><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Who You Are:</span></strong></h1> <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">7+ years building or operating large-scale networks, as a network, systems, or software engineer, or in a deeply technical networking-focused field role.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Solid working knowledge of network protocols such as BGP, VXLAN/EVPN, and DNS.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Deep understanding of Kubernetes networking, including CNIs such as Cilium or Calico.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Expertise in cloud connectivity: VPCs, peering, dedicated interconnects, and VPNs such as WireGuard or Tailscale, and the trade-offs between them.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Very comfortable going below the tooling to analyze packet captures, kernel routing tables, interface and fabric counters.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">You explain technical problems clearly to engineers and executives, and you build trust with customers.</span></li> </ul> <h1><strong><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Preferred</span></strong></h1> <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Expertise with InfiniBand and RoCE, including fabric diagnostics, subnet management, and partition-based tenant isolation.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Experience with NVIDIA GPUs, especially GB200/GB300 platforms.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">First-principles debugging through the Linux kernel network stack, eBPF, FRR, and OVS.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Diagnosing distributed failures across hundreds of nodes, such as ECMP blackholing across fabric planes.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Large Direct Connect designs: per-VPC BGP sessions, prefix strategy, and cloud provider limits.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation.
