Gunnison Copper has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mine Engineer at our Johnson Camp Mine / Gunnison Project, located in southeastern Arizona between Benson and Willcox.

We are seeking a motivated engineer who enjoys combining technical mine planning with hands-on operational support. In this role, you will help develop and execute mine plans, improve production efficiency and work closely with our mining contractor and technical teams to support safe, cost-effective operations.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain short-term and mid-range mine plans, designs and production schedules while supporting long-term planning.

• Monitor mining performance against production targets, identify deviations and recommend improvements.

• Work closely with Mine Operations, Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Survey, Metallurgy and mining contractors.

• Prepare production forecasts, operating reports, mine designs and technical analyses.

• Evaluate opportunities to improve mine sequencing, equipment productivity and operating costs.

• Incorporate safety, environmental and operational requirements into engineering designs and mine plans.

• Provide field-based engineering support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a closely related discipline.

• 3–7 years of mine engineering experience, including at least 3 years in open-pit mining.

• Strong knowledge of mine planning, design, scheduling and production optimization.

• Proficiency with mining software such as Vulcan, MineSight, Deswik, AutoCAD or equivalent.

• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.

• The ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with operations and technical teams.

• A demonstrated commitment to safe mining practices.

Experience in hard-rock copper mining, contract mining operations or heap-leach operations is preferred.
