We are looking for someone who can take initiative and operate independently all while taking pride in keeping our systems stable and trusted. If you are a data engineer who builds durable data systems with long-term scalability in mind, we want to hear from you.   <ul> <li>Focus on solving problems using the simplest possible architecture. </li> <li>self-direct within a broad definition of goals and objectives.  </li> <li>Prioritize the availability of accurate and reliable data. </li> <li>Develop processes and monitor the health of the data warehouse. </li> <li>Collaborate with technical and business teams to understand their needs and build solutions. </li> </ul> Responsibilities  <ul> <li>Develop and manage scalable and reliable ETL/ELT processes for loading data into data warehouses. </li> <li>Monitor performance and troubleshoot issues. </li> <li>Manage and optimize our data warehouse for performance and reliability. </li> <li>Maintain data integrity and consistency across systems. </li> <li>Collaborate with internal teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions. </li> <li>Stay current with industry trends and technologies in data engineering. </li> <li>Continuously improve data processes and infrastructure for efficiency and scalability. </li> <li>Document data engineering processes, designs, and architectures. </li> </ul> Qualifications  <ul> <li>Fast learner with strong work ethics and high-performance standards. </li> <li>Solve today’s problems and lay the foundation for the future. </li> <li>4 years of experience in a fintech company or fast-growing startup. </li> <li>BS or advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. </li> <li>Proficient in writing production-quality code in Python. Go would be a plus. </li> <li>Strong debugging skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues effectively. </li> <li>Experience working with AWS. </li> </ul> This role is located in Palo Alto, California - three times a week in office.   The pay range for this position is $130,000; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
