Operational Contracts Manager

Western Downs Digital Park
Western Downs Digital Park (WDDP) is a master-planned digital and energy precinct in regional Queensland, developed and operated by Zerra. Planned across multiple delivery phases, WDDP brings together AI-ready data centres, energy infrastructure and a purpose-built campus environment. 

Located close to major power infrastructure within the Western Downs Special Industry Area, WDDP represents a major investment in Queensland's digital future and an opportunity to help deliver the critical infrastructure supporting the continued growth of cloud computing and artificial intelligence. 

• 5+ years in contract management, procurement, or vendor management roles.
• Proven experience managing operational contracts in a complex organization.
• Strong understanding of contract law and compliance requirements.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in contract management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and drive insights.
• Ability to work across cross functional groups within an organization
• Ability to understand the wider picture whilst devoting attention to detail

• Proactive, diligent, able and willing to think ahead.

Desirable Qualifications and Certifications

• Degree in Business, Law, Supply Chain, related field or relevant experience is preferred.
• Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) or equivalent.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, Operations, the Operational Contracts Manager is responsible for leading the operations commercial requirements of the site. Collaborating across Operations, Design, Development, Legal and Finance teams to ensure: 

Ensuring all SLA risks are mitigated through compliance with Zerra's risk management framework, in line with the following: 

• Ensure effective management and compliance of all operational contracts to meet organizational standards and regulatory requirements. 
• Optimise contract performance and value delivery through proactive monitoring and stakeholder engagement. 
• Drive continuous improvement in contract processes and governance to enhance efficiency and reduce risk. 
• Foster strong relationships with vendors and internal teams to support operational excellence and strategic objectives.

 
Responsibilities
Procurement

• Undertake market due diligence
• Run tendering processes, ensuring Zerra and Customer requirements are achieved

Contract Compliance

• Maintain a centralised repository of contracts and related documentation.
• Monitor compliance with contractual obligations and service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to ensure adherence to policies.

Performance Management

• Implement standardised contract management procedures.
• Recommend process enhancements based on data insights and industry best practices.
• Support digital transformation initiatives for contract lifecycle management tools.
• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for vendors and contracts.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and performance improvements.
• Manage financial performance of portfolio in remit.

Relationship Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for operational contract queries.
• Facilitate regular vendor performance reviews and feedback sessions.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure contract terms align with operational needs.
