<p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">The Senior Project Engineer for Voyager’s Strategic Systems line of business is responsible for leading the end-to-end execution of solid rocket motor design and manufacturing programs — from concept through qualification — ensuring delivery on cost, schedule, and technical performance commitments.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">This position reports to the Program Manager, Solid Rocket Motors and is part of Voyager’s Strategic Systems line of business based in Penrose/Pueblo, Colorado. This role is onsite in Penrose/Pueblo, Colorado.</span></p>
<h1><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Essential Functions</span></h1>
<p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">In this role, the essential functions are:</span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Lead execution of solid rocket motor design and manufacturing programs from proposal through qualification, owning/reporting schedule, cost (via earned value management principles), and technical performance from day one.</span></li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Serve as the primary technical interface with customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders — driving alignment on requirements, risks, and program status.</span></li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Manage the development of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and maintain baseline control through design, development, test, and production phases.</span></li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Identify, assess, and drive mitigation of program risks and technical issues; escalate unresolved constraints proactively to program leadership.</span></li>

<ul>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace, or closely related science or engineering field with 7 years of combined technical engineering and project engineering or project management experience OR 11 years of combined experience in lieu of a degree. We value candidates who bring both hands-on technical depth and program execution experience; the balance across these areas will vary by candidate.</span></li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Demonstrated experience with solid rocket motor design, development, and manufacturing processes, including applicable safety, handling, and regulatory requirements governing energetic materials.</span></li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Proven ability to develop and maintain an Integrated Master Schedule and execute against program baselines in a fast-paced, resource-constrained environment.</span></li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required).</span></li>
</ul>
<h1><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Preferred Qualifications</span></h1>
<ul>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Background in propulsion, energetics, or defense programs, with hands-on experience supporting solid rocket motor or munitions development from concept through fielding.</span></li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Strong technical expertise in hardware design, manufacturing, or a closely related discipline within defense, space, or aerospace programs.</span></li>
</ul>
<h1><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Travel, Physical, and Government Mandated Requirements</span></h1>
<ul>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Travel up to 25%, including the possibility of overnights, to customer sites, industry conferences, and program reviews.</span></li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship).</span></li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Candidates must meet all eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain applicable state and federal explosives licenses, including minimum age requirements (21 and over), a drug-free workplace in compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988 (41 U.S.C. §§ 8101–8106), Executive Order 12564 (Drug-Free Federal Workplace), applicable Department of Defense directives including DoD Instruction 1010.09 and DFARS 252.226-7003 and successful completion of any legally required background investigations.</span></li>

Where you fall within the range depends on your experience, skills, and location. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentive. This range may be adjusted in the future.</span></p>
